Soccer Time

We have signed Kaleb up for his first year of soccer. He really enjoys kicking the ball around with me at the house so we thought this would be something that he might actually enjoy. His first practice was last night and he did great! We still need to work on following directions but he did a lot better than I thought he would. He just wouldn't stop and turn around where he was supposed to. Here is a picture of him running to the practice field when we got there. Notice his 'fast shoes'! He told us these were the fastest shoes EVER and he could go super fast! He can be SO funny!

Kaleb's First Day of K4 at MRA

So, Kaleb officially is in K4 at Madison Ridgeland Academy. He has been going to MRA all summer for their summer camp. We entered him into the summer camp to try and let him make some new friends before having to actually do school work. I am SOOOO glad we did because when we dropped him off, he hopped right out without even so much of a wave goodbye! They have a carpool where the parents just pull up and teachers/volunteer parents get the kids out and send them inside. They said to be expecting tears the first few days for the new students, so I wasn't expecting it to go so smoothly. Not to mention that he had just spent the last 4 days with my mom in TN. I hate to say it but my little baby isn't so much of a baby anymore! (INSERT SAD FACE HERE!!) It was a moment of pride and sadness when he walked into the school like such a big boy. Paul and I agreed that we would go pick him up together so we could see how his day went. He said that he had a lot of fun. The teacher is great and posted pictures from the day on her webpage. We looked at them together and he kept saying that each kid was his friend. He still didn't know all their names, but that's ok. He did know Breckin (who he has known for years at daycare) and Parker (who he met this summer at MRA). Kaleb seems to soak up all the information you can give him (good and bad!) so I am looking forward to seeing all the new stuff he learns in the upcoming year!

Here are few pictures we took the morning before we dropped him off:

Kaleb and Rocky. They have become best buddies after only one day! I was really worried that Rocky would be too timid for Kaleb. But the exact opposite it true. Rocky has really come out of his shell since Kaleb has been here. He is more playful and less anxious!

My big boy!

After a couple tries, finally got a good cheese out of Kaleb

Nana and Kaleb petting Rocky

Pop, Nana, and Kaleb

Family photo! Definitely gonna have this one printed and framed

Got this picture in an email from his kindergarten principle yesterday. Kaleb is the one over to the right with his hands under his chin! Can't tell if he is engrossed or bored! Haha!
